ur line of Wild Grass home furnishing is made from wild grass that grows in abundance in the Terai ("moist land") region of Nepal at the base of Himalaya range. It is an ecoregion that is a mosaic of tall grasslands, savannas and evergreen and deciduous forests. The grass-lands are among the tallest in the world, and are maintained by silt deposited by the yearly monsoon floods. It is also the home to the endangered Indian rhinoceros, elephants, tigers, bears, and other wild animals.

hese grasses are hand harvested annually by the communities of the area. They benefit directly from the trade by attaining education, health care, and community development. The raw materials are transported to Kathmandu, where they undergo eco-friendly curing processes to increase durability. It is then handwoven by women from Kathmandu using indigenous weaving techniques under fair trade principles.

ur Wild Grass products help to provide income-generating opportunities, skills development, and the preservation of indigenous knowledge from the grass roots level.
